Picked this up years ago from a biker who owed me money, when he told me about it I was expecting a 32 short and got a 32-20.

I like those old M&Ps, especially the 32 WCF chambering. At some point the cylinders were heat treated but I am not sure what serial number or model. I have two M&Ps so chambered and really like taking them to the range. The bark is quite a bit more than one would expect from such a small cartridge. Usually draws a crowd when I fire it.

If you need recipes, I can recommend a couple.

Hello Snake Charmer
Nice old M&P you have there. The 32-20's were very Popular at one time because they also had rifles chambered in it and it made a sweet Combo. As Kevin has stated they Heat treated the cylinders in those around the mid to late 1920's as Pressures began to rise in the 32-20 ammo used for rifles they wanted to insure durability in the revolvers. Yours appears to be wearing grips from the 1920's time span with the concave upper part being evident. It also shows some Bluing loss due to Blood... Blood will take bluing off in that fashion Super quick and it makes me think that revolver may have been used to adjust someone's Skull at one time...:) Hammerdown

I don't have a group shot but here are my two M&Ps in 32 WCF.

First the 5"

Now the 6 1/2"

The grips on the 6 1/2" are not correct, much to late, but I can not find a pair from the correct era. Besides, they feel nice when shooting.

Have you tried "Gun Parts Corporation" for the correct grips?
