Got a chance to shoot a Barrett once in Georgia during an event called the Southern Nationals held at a private club near Fort Benning, home of the Army Marksmen Unit.

An older gentleman was requested to 'sight in the scope' and a few of us were standing around. He asked if we wanted to shoot it.... HELL YES!!!

It hit about as hard as a 12 gauge as the muzzle break is very effective.

Now hitting at a distance of 1,000+ yards is another story.
