I'd really like a model of 1989, but this one will fill the bill until I can find one.
I'm going to look at it next week with cash in my pocket.

I'm guessing under the Red X's there is a pretty neat gun. I Love the 3 inch guns.

Thats terriffic. If you find your 1989 and just can't live with this one, I'll find a home for it.

Thank you, Gentlemen. I like the revolvers with a spur on the hammer, it's just a classic look IMHO. I've always wanted a 3" .45ACP Revolver, and this one just came available near me. I can't see how I turn it down. I'll go get her on Friday. ;)
Very nice looking piece of hardware RJ, congratulations. You know I have been wanting one as well.
I was thinking about another .45 ACP revolver- maybe a 25-2. I still shoot a little bullseye. A 6.5" 25-2 would be fun.

Well, I went to look at this gun today, and it followed me home. A great looking revolver that is a perfect fit for my "wheel of wheel-guns." Better pictures are sure to follow. Tomorrow is supposed to be a "rainy day." Might be the perfect opportunity to take some snapshots.
Congratulations, looks to be an excellent acquisition.

Glad you were able to give it a home. Nothing sadder than homeless revolvers (unless it is homeless puppies). Do you have any other 45s to keep it company?

They also made a 6" version and either one is a good shooter. I have an older one witht he 6 1/2" barrel and it dotes on full wadcutter loads at about 850 - 900 fps. (Sorry for the drift)

Yes. I have a few. 2 colt 1911's, a Para 13-45 and a longer barreled 625. It will have plenty of company. Feeding the litter of .45 can get pricey though.

I empathize with you on the feeding problem. I needed to feed a PPC competition appetite and treid to get a long with a single stage press. Finally ended up with a Dillon 550 and never looked back. I was about to load about 2000 rounds a week and still have time to shoot. Have you considered a progressive or semiprogressive press for the 45s? Dillon no longer makes the 550 but I believe they have the 650 and the Square Deal available. And other companies are competing for the progressive market also.
Nice thing about having a 45 ACP revolver, if you misload some cartridges for your selfloader and they won't work the action, you can use them in the revolver. Of course after getting spoiled by the 625 you may end up selling the selfloaders.

I already load on a dillon 650. I perfer to have a separate tool head and powder drop for each caliber, but I have three less shot and loaded calibers that share a single powder drop. All my .45, 9mm and .223 I load are quick to change and go.
Very nice. That's a handy revolver.
