I am looking for a 686PC in 38 super, anyone seen one lately? I have one now but need another as Toni shoots matches with me and won't let me use hers.

Good luck Marin. They are out there but really hard to find. What do you have now the 4" or is that the only way they made it?

Yea, four inch was the only way they came. I got mine from TK Custom a few years ago after I had bought a couple of M627 in 38 super. USPSA doesnt allow 8 shot revolvers in the revolver classes, but you can use them against the semi-auto shooters. I really enjoy seeing the look on their faces when I complete a sub two second reload and beat them on a stage.:gun::rofl:

Martin~ sorry, this is my only 38 Super, ca. 1964 - I had often considered what you are looking for but one never came my way either. Just wondering, what is your load? :)

Thats a nice looking 1911, I trade one like it with wilson sights and a spare barrel in 9mm for a M627 eight shot PC gun a few years ago. My load might be a little light for a semi-auto but here it is.
starline brass
federal primers
5.4 grains of tightgroup
125 grain .356 montana gold hollow point.
This load developes about 1100fps out of a 4in revolver. A little over power factor for ICORE competition.

Tusker if you ever deciede to lose THAT super in favor of another please let me know. This old Colt affictionado would happily give it a good home. Only trouble might be my 1991 A1, 38 super might feel just a bit outclassed.

I can't log on to the sight you posted, what was the asking price? I am only able to ge on the web from work, so I am a little slow seeing things.
