I saw this story on one of the larger Canadian gun sites. Thought it was pretty neat.

Here's the first post... he goes on to talk about trying to track the original owner down and others mention stuff that they have also found inside of other firearms.
Neat find in rifle buttstock
So I picked up an old Winchester (Model 1907) a few months back.
It was pretty rough - covered in a fine film of rust and absolutely filthy inside.
I finally got around to trying to clean it up this weekend and after removing the buttpad to get at the stock screw, found this.
I know some of you have come across this in the past, but this is a first for me - I thought it was kinda cool!

I've found a lot of old Newspapers while remodeling homes in Key West.. It seems it was quite a standard tradition to "wall in" the paper of the day when building a home down there. I usually add one of today, and re inter the paper for the next guy.

When I was working as an electrician in the early 80's I found an old newspaper in an attic. Dated from the early 1900's, it was pretty cool to see the old ads and the price of things back then.
