Hello
I am a Lover of the .32 round in a revolver and this Obsession did not start overnight it started as a young Boy with me. My father was a Lover of Rugers. They were not my bag but he Bought a single six in the Infamous .32 H&R Magnum Caliber and I took the forehead right out of a woodchuck the first time I fired it, it was Love at fist firing. I was Bitten hard, But S&W's were my bag , and I Longed for the S&W New creation of the Old K-32 Masterpiece which was the model 16-4 in the .32 H&R Magnum round. I got on a customer list at my Gun shop, but that model always eluded me and was in very short supply, so it never came to be. Fast forward about 20 Years, I Landed a New in Box model 16-4 and wore it out at the range. I then was Really Obsessed , with this .32 Caliber but to complete my Obsession I knew I would need the Original K-32 Masterpiece that had been made From 1939-1974, But this Model too managed to elude me and I saw one go for $4500.00 so I felt this was going to be another Wet dream. I then was Yacking on The Gun Forum F.F.F. with another member about how I just Loved the .32 caliber in a revolver and how I wanted a K-32 but could not locate one and he shared with me he indeed had one. I Jumped on him like a Horse fly on a Cow Pie in a Pasture lot, to only be told he had no urge to sell it. I kept contact with this guy for the next Three years and after many pestering E-mails and begging him to almost insanity, he caved and decided I Needed that K-32 Masterpiece more than he did, and he explained he Wanted to see his Beloved K-32 go to a person that would Truly appreciate it, and I assured him I surely would. I swapped him Two S&W revolver's for his K-32 and to my Delight it was a Pre-16 and a very early one. It shipped in May 1951 and is a Narrow rib Five screw model. It don't get any better than that to me, so now I have completed my Lust for the Elusive K-32 Being Old School and The Grandson new School K-32 Magnum shown below..In it's 34 Years of production there were only 3725 K-32 Masterpiece's ever made and here is one of them, for you all to Enjoy,But ya Can't have it. HelloDave
Jim Fox was the keeper of the K-32 Pre-16 Masterpiece shown above. It was a Long drawn out swap but well worth the wait. Here it is cleaned up and looking nicer to me wearing a pair of presentation Target grips..It did not come with the factory box, sight adjustment tool or paperwork, but I put the complete package together once I Located the Rare revolver..H.D.
