ok well took angel back to the range saturday, she shoot about 10 rounds through her rossi .38. well after the 8th or so shot she started complaining about the trigger being to hard to pull i thought she was just being a wuss so i took it, id be damned if i didn't have trouble shooting that thing double action by trouble i mean i could barely pull the trigger id say it was like a 30 pound pull. well i told her she was down with that gun for the day. took it home and finally got it losened up a little bit. how can i clean the gun more than just cleaning the cylinder and the barrel?
by the way i think this gun is a gonner i just lost all trust in the gun, ive been hating it due to the accuracy (my smith was a hell of alot more accurate). angel told me she doesn't want it anymore and i think she might just get that.

I'm not real certain about how the Rossi' are put together, but you might check to see if the extractor rod is unscrewing. Also, hold it up to a light and see how much of a gap you have between the cylinder and the end of the barrel. If there isn't enough of a gap when the barrel and cylinder heat up they'll expand and bind.

Rossi's seem to be like a snub nose s&w
the gap is fine, the problem was shooting it double action, single it was fine

well i took the revolver apart last night, really i just started pulling screws and prying on stuff. well nothing seemed wrong with the gun everything instide didn't look to have much if any wear i oiled it the cylinder bearing shaft(hell if i know what it's called) and put her back together seemed to work just fine.

My son has put lots of lead through his Rossi .357 revolver and has not had any problems. Maybe it just had a little grunge or powder residue where it should not have.

Check the extractor rod. Sometimes they back out a bit with a few shots and need to be tightened down again. As they back out, they can bind on the locking lug.
I know that S&W's are now left handed threads to prevent this from happening, I don't know if Rossi did the same.
If you do need to tighten down the extractor, do so with a piece of leather and a pair of vice grips on the extractor rod, and make sure you put a couple empty cases in the cylinder to keep the extractor from twisting and getting buggered up.

the rod was tight but thanks for the shell idea i didn't think of that luckily nothing messed up and yes it's left hand threaded also
