I know it is a revolver site, but how can you live without a 1911 section.

How long before some fruitcake chick from Cali who owns no guns comes in and has the most posts of anyone?
I woke up to late tonight to get a decent pic of my 1911
Mike to a certain extent there is a 1911 area now with the colt automatics. But if enough people want a 1911 dedicated area I'm all for it.

Well, it is such a bulwark of the gun world. Probably would be used quite a bit.

I must be the only guy that does NOT own a 1911.
My brother has a bunch of them but none are as accurate as My 25-2.
Real guns are Wheel guns!

Where? Let's go watch!
 Hey now I am a huge revolver fan but I like my 1911's also. While I do agree that at least for myself I can always shoot better with a revolver I do find the 1911 to be a good carry weapon because of it's flat profile. If I ever had to actually use the gun I hope that it would only be in a case when they target was so close I could either squeeze the trigger or just use it as a club. :)

I admit, with my 1911 I used to do alot of precision type shooting. In my younger days, we would put up an ammo box, put it out to 7 yards, and cut them in half. I would consistantly be able to chop it in half with just one magazine.
We used to cut off a single bristle of the range broom, and put it on the carrier and send it down to 7 yards. We would be able to cut the broom bristle in half with one shot.
I tried repeating this feat with a 22. It wasn't anywhere NEAR as easy.
A word to the wise, use SEMI WADCUTTERS when doing these "gun tricks." ;)
