cause after i get done with trying to scare them into thinking i could actually shoot them with it i could use it as a club
The long barrel guns are great for hunting, for self defense give me a 4" or shorter barrel. Just a matter of preference.

I handled a revolver for the first time yesterday; it was one of the smith airlite guns. That trigger pull is certainly different, but I think I could master it considering I'm looking at it for conceal carry/close range action.
The bat joke is funny as hell though reminds me of "Sir Jams a' lot" my trusty M4.

I figured you were joking but all jokes aside I would never use an 8" or longer for self defense. When the barrel is that long you just can't sight the gun fast enough. Same goes with the big heavy guns like the Desert Eagle which I also don't think is much of a personal protection weapon. Just like for home defense I would never use an assault rifle, give me a shotgun any day. A short barrel revolver is self defense in the most easily configured, safest package I have seen. I know they say the glock is good but the glock lacks class. :)

My experience has been just the opposite, Hawke. I've always shot better with revolvers, but it does take some practice in double action. I had my Ruger GP100 worked on to lighten the pull and smooth it out. Any double action I buy will probably go to the gunsmith to have it smoothed up and lightened.
The only semi-auto I've owned that has been as accurate as a revolver has been my Sig P220.

If you ever use a glock to save your life, it will go way up on your "class" scale!!

I wish I could like Glocks, but, and this is personal, I would need it with a manual saftey. I just don't trust them. Or maybe I should say, I don't trust myself with them.
