Hey David good to see you, I have a 629 6" classic very similar to that. I also have a 629-1 8 3/8 that is great for target shooting but I still prefer my 629-1 3" for just going out and punching holes in paper.

This being my 1st hand Gun I now find it Difficult to shoot anything "Lighter" with any kind of accuracy. I try friends Glocks, 9mm etc... and the Heaviness of this Gun I have just so gotten use to that anything else makes me miss the target.

I originally went in to get a 50 Desert Eagle, glad the Sales Person talked me out of it.

I had a lot of trouble getting accurate with it. I use to do the old leave a couple of rounds out and when I would hit the empty chamber I would damn near push the muzzle into the dirt. I was much more accurate with my same-frame .41 mag.

Well, as I said, the 629 Custom Deluxe was the most accurate handgun I've ever shot. But, now, when I can afford it, I wouldn't mind picking up a Mountain Gun. Friend of mine had one in .44 mag and it was a nice shooting gun.

For awhile I was into silhouette and the .44 mag was the smallest/weakest round I shot. that was back in the 80's when silhouette shooting became all the rage. Most of us shot wildcat rounds in TC's.
