I have a MEC Jr. that I use to load Sporting Clay's Loads. I've used it for at least a dozen years, and it still works like new. I have never had an issue with it. But Here is the question:
What are you loading buckshot for? If for Home Defense, you're best off using off the shelf shells. A bad Lawyer will argue that you have loaded "more than lethal" loads for your weapons in an attempt to do "aggravated bodily harm."

That's what I use (but then I can't hit a clay pigeon unless it is propped up on a log and I'm 10 feet away.:D

Well, What can you say. If you need some tin-foil-hat gear, then go for it....

I don't know. I only load the ones I've already shot. I 've never bought empty shells before.

You loading 12ga?
I can keep empty shells for you and send them when I have a bunch. I just went through 1000 rounds in the past couple of months.
I just bought another 1000 rounds of 12ga from Walmart a couple of weeks ago.

Well... it will take me a little while to go through these. But when I get a decent amount, I will send them. I won't bother reloading in the US anyways. I will bring my shotguns back to Canada in a couple of months, and will not be allowed to bring any ammo I buy in the US with me.
However, I am seeing if I can get a Florida drivers license and if I get that, I will probably pick up a shotgun to keep down there.

What else would i need?
100 slugs
10 pounds of 00 buck shot
1000 shells
1000 wads
1000 primers
8lb of pounder
that came out to 317 so with the loader i would be sitting around 380

That's pretty much it. That and a place to load. I would recommend a good scale. It doesn't have to be an electronic one, a Beam Balance scale will be fine, but you want to make sure you load the right amount of powder and check every so often.
The MEC Jr. That I have has different bushings for different loads, so a scale isn't "necessary." But I like to know how much powder I'm putting in, just to make sure. I'm like that.
I'd like to hear your review on that Lee loader when you get setup.

You got me thinking about reloading... I was looking into a few reloaders.
Wide variety and selection....

Not something I will do right now. But just curious. I think I will start off by buying a book. :)
