Some Colts

These pics are not the best but the only digital camera I own is my cell phone. Picture number four is of two Colt M1917's, one with a heavy barrel for PPC matches and the four inch Custom hard chrome plated one is for IDPA matches. the other gun in the pic is a Colt Officers Model special in 38special.
Pic #3 is a factory hard chrome Diamondback, a four inch hard chrome trooper and a later model Cobra, the other pics are all colt Pythons.
Tomorrow will be S&W K frames.

The four inch is in 45acp and tthe PPC gun is in 45Colt. So I guess tthe PPC gun is really a Colt New Service.

Back when I got out of high school in '64 I bought one of these in .45ACP, really cheap. I thought I had bought a .45 Long Colt. I knew nothing about handguns and didn't realize at first that I needed moon clips to load it. After figuring that out I took it out and fired it and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. On cleaning it I discovered that the inside of the barrel was a pitted mess. Don't know why I didn't check it before I bought it. Young and dumb I guess.:banghead
