I was hoping you'd get around to doing this.

I've been a semi Regular on Smith-Wesson forums for a while, and I'm glad to be here.

My latest purchase is an impulse buy. Pre Lock 625 in .45 ACP with a Tasco Pro Point red dot recticle on top (I never had one of those before). I got it at the gun shop for $550. It was a steal!!!

I'll post some pictures when I can. Meanwhile, can anyone tell me how to load a moon clip? Honestly, I don't have a clue.

Sweet RJ, I would love to find a pre lock 625. Has to be one of the most fun, best bang for the buck guns ever made. Post up a picture.

I sure will, as soon as I go to pick it up. I left it at the shop so they could find me a rear sight. I may play with that red-dot recticle, but I'm an open sights guy.

Did I mention it's also got the firing pin on the hammer? No transfer block type.

I'm pumped. ;)

Like I say that is a gun I would love to find. I am a huge stainless steel fan, with several 629's, 64's, 66's and more 686's then I care to think about not to mention my 649 that I carry. Stainless is just so durable. It will never have the looks of blue but it says all business.

RJ I will post some pictures tomorrow of moonclip loading and tools used for both loading and unloading. I have been an avid competition shooter for almost 40years and a gunsmith for most of that time, now as you know I now spend a lot of time and money on V-Rods.

I need a tool? Damn. I should have picked one up. Maybe I'll just buy some .45acp Rimmed Brass and start loading it separately. Hmmmmm...

No tool needed, but it will make it easier. Loading is done easily with just fingers but unloading is another story.
