I admit, I have a few guns in the safe that have NEVER been fired. This one has never been COCKED!!
Before Colt moved their manufacturing setup, they found a vault with a few ivory tusks. This pistol was made with screwless ivory stocks. In and of itself, that makes this pistol pretty rare, so I'm told. The zip tie was put on from the factory.
Hey Martin, I think I posted first in this section!!! ;)

Sweet. That is a nice looking Colt.:thumb: I love the Single Action Army design. I can't afford a good Colt but am considering getting a Uberti. In fact I was just looking at a Cimmaron Arms 4 5/8.

I'm thinking I should probably get a SAA that I would feel okay shooting. Umberti definately tops that list!!

RJ the only single action I have is a S&W M-25, with a factory single action kit installed for bullseye matches. I don't own any collector guns, all of mine are shooters.

They're a little more expensive, but you may want to check out U.S. Fire Arms. They are American made and supposed to be very good quality. Still cheaper than a Colt, at least their basic models are.

The great thing about those USFA guns is all the custom stuff you can order. I saw that they even offer real ivory grips. But, expenseive, yikes.

I wish the frame and trigger had the patina pattern.

That's a Uberti? Very nice. I was kinda leaning towards a .45, but have considered the 38. Aren't they a little difficult to load for?

Dave-Sure is. 38/40- The original 10MM- :D Not that I have noticed. I have two others of the Ruger flavor. They have 10MM cylinders with them as well. Read a article once about a engineer up in Canada who years ago kept one in the cab for wayward Moose. :):thumb:
