Stopped in at a little shop I have visited for years. I used to buy many of the smiths they took in on pawn because the price was always fair. Anyway I stopped by today and they had a model 64 for $500, nothing special, just a typical 64 and might have even been part of a service fleet. They told me they couldn't keep anything right now so it was supply and demand. Seemed pretty high to me, in fact the last several guns they did have all seemed a bit high but this was over the top IMHO. So how are prices in your area?

Guns, in our area, don't seem to have increased, but, ammo is an entirely different matter.

Man, I shouldn't have voted "higher" since I haven't been buying guns for very long, but I always go shopping with buddies so I don't get hosed. They say that revolvers are pretty much the same as are bolt guns. The semi auto rifles have drastically risen though and from my experience with the sks, I agree. Ammo is crazy though. I've kept track of .223 ammo prices from well before I made my first gun purchase and now that I own an AR I can't justify 45cents a round to shoot it.

Time to get a re-loader. ;) It'll pay for itself in 2 cases of ammo.......:D

IF you cam find primers!

True statement.......

My back ordered primers are due End of May through Mid June. I'm hoping they don't push it back......AGAIN. :banghead

Ammunition seems to be the FRONT this year in the zealots war on gun ownership. They have changed tactics and are now aggressively targeting ammunition figuring to starve us out of our sport with draconian laws like bullet serialisation. Everyone should be on guard aginst these backdoor anti-gun schemes.
