Hello
About Six Months ago, I was at a Gun show and came across this really Rare Find. It is a Tennessee Highway Patrol Revolver one of 350 made back in 1989. Bill Orr who owns G.T. Distributors which isa Large Police supply warehouse in Georgia decided to commission S&W to make a revolver dedicated to 60 years of The Tennessee Highway patrol which started in 1929. The 350 revolvers were available to only Tennessee State troopers who had to fill out the Order form and this included their rank and post location. All revolvers were then shipped to The Tennessee Department of Safety in Nashville, where they were distributed to the Troopers that ordered them. The chosen caliber was .45 Colt and all had a 4" Barrel Blue finish, Gold accents and a set of smooth Presentation Book grain Matching magna grips. all the revolvers also had a Lanyard ring and came shipped in a Red Crushed Velvet Solid Cherry presentation case. I had to swap Two of my classic revolvers to get this one as the seller wanted $1400.00 for it due to it's rarity and super Low Production. I Later contacted The Commissioner of the Department of Safety in Nashville, Tennessee and asked if he could supply me with any other Pertinent information about The Tennessee Highway patrol and he was gracious enough to send me the Flier and Official Uniform patch worn by an actual Tennessee Highway Patrol officer. I then found the Wallet size Badge on Flea bay and when I learned that Bill Orr was the One responsible for the Birth of this revolver, I contacted him and he supplied me with an Official order form and color flier as shown. This gun remains unfired other than being shot Three times at the factory as it's test fire and it is the Only revolver I own that I have not fired. Let's see your safe queens in this Thread...Hammerdown

Hello Dave
Believe it or not, I am working on a Trade right now, so this one may not be in my Safe long. It really Hurts me to see a gun sit and not be fired as this one has. I have made a swap offer to a friend for his Pre-27. It has a 6-1/2" Barrel and is Gorgeous with it's Deep Black shinny Bluing and Period correct Diamond Target grips. The Ball is in his court and I am supposed to have his answer on the swap by this weekend. I can tell you if we do swap, that Pre-27 will be cherished and shot Often..If the swap deal dalls through, This will sit quietly in the back side of my safe until I do find a drop dead Gorgeous pre-27 to trade it for..:thumb: H.D.
