Nice work Max. That is just as described. Do you have a picture of "Frankenstein?"

No pics of franky yet but I will get some. It is together right now but coming back apart. It has a 629 trigger "stainless", a 29 hammer .375 and it started out as a 6" 28-2 but now is sporting a 4" correct model barrel. The head space is too great though and I need to get the barrel cut to be correct. Like I say a day at the machine shop with my brother and it will be good to go. I plan it to be my first CC N frame. Yes, I found a long time ago that no one cares about your stuff like you do. So if you want it done right, read up and do it yourself. Thanks to the book Kurt turned me onto it goes into great detail on just about every aspect of a revolver.

The N frame gun is an industrial strength gun no doubt.

Hey Max,

I must have woken up late and missed the opening lines. Are you building a 4inch M28? Interesting!

Hey Max,

Yes I am out of scrap, new and left over parts. I have put it together and shot it with a used barrel but the cylinder gap was too great and rather then deal with a used barrel I ordered a new barrel to fit. I plan a trip to a plant my brother is the manager of to test the machine shop out for final fitting. :)

Well the barrel came out perfect and got a chance to take franky to the range today. I really do like the 4" N frame gun, easy to shoot a 4 inch group at 16 yards with it. I didn't save the targets for photos but shot some really tight groups while sighting it in and it looks like the barrel came out dead on because the rear sight is dead on.

I agree, the 4" N frames are the best. I prefer mine in a larger caliber, namely 45 but the 357 is the original magnum. Nice work,
