View Full Version : K38 combat Masterpiece
I have wanted one for years but never found one that just screamed take me home. I spied a little 4" Sunday that was 97% with the original numbered grips. I called them and told them to wrap it up and that I would give it a home. Photos to come later today.

Excellent! The K frame is by far the most useful revolver ever offered by S&W. Literally millions out there doing their job and doing it well.

Anxiously anticipating the photos.:thumb:
The gun isn't new but has a light turn line and the lock up and cylinder are perfect and the finish is original and at least 97%. Serial number comes out to mid 1953.

Very Nice......:thumb:
Thanks, I am very happy with it. Out the door was 575.00 and I don't know if that's good or bad. Considering this is the cleanest Combat Masterpiece I had ever held it was worth it to me. I did mull it over a couple of days but in the end I couldn't resist.

Hello Max
You have a very Nice Hard to find 5 Screw Combat Masterpiece There. I Had a Model 15-2 Nickel Combat Masterpiece but sold it off to Purchase an Older Five screw revolver. I have been slowly adding the Five screw versions to my collection which means the newer dash Models must Go. :( I am currently trying to find a Five screw K-38 Target Masterpiece to complete the Trio of The Masterpiece series I have all Ready, The K-22 Five screw revolver from 1947 that has the Thin Barrel Rib and the Hardest to find in the series the K-32 masterpiece which is also a Five screw Narow Rib Barrel, But I have Not seen any Five screw Narrow Rib K-38 Masterpieces out there as of Yet. This model will be a Tough one to find as they only made them Post-War from 1947-1949 as they came out with the Wider Heavy Rib barrel Models in 1950... :)Hammerdown
