I've had a firearm since I was old enough to hold one up.I believe my first one was a 32 revolver.
My Father was the true firearm nut of the family. He kept 100's of guns in our houses and was legal to own FA's.He always took me with him shooting and was an exellent 38 special and 45acp shooter. He was one of the few people I ever saw in real life that could draw from a side holster to shoot silver dollars as he threw them up to the sky,at times he would do it for show.
I sorta followed in his foot steps and have acquired a collection or 2 in my life.
Lately my favorite acp round is the 40 cal and for in home protection I have a few that fire the 762x39 in assorted projectile configurations.
I like 22's also.Have you seen or shot the 17 caliber yet? I got my step son one.

Hi Elrod. Welcome. I have a friend that shoots a .17 HMR and loves it for varmints. I was considering getting a Ruger Single Six in that caliber. I read a test on one and the guy was shooting it pretty well even out to 100 yards.

Hey Al good to have you here.

Thanks man, that means something coming from you.
I should have figured you to be a gun head. The awesome controllable power, the mechanical workings, history and the comradery that goes along with ammo and firearms suits you well.
